EMOTIONAL LIVES OF CITIES
Emotional Lives of Cities assembles diverse perspectives from across periods by artists, art and architectural historians, curators, and literature and media scholars exploring possibilities for humane urban existence in the context of crisis. These creative and critical responses reveal how artists, authors and curators are tackling the deep uncertainty of the climate catastrophe, migration issues, and systemic inequities of race. These texts and works of art articulate our hopes for what we imagine a democratic city of the future might be. The website features three interconnected domains of inquiry: Art, Forum, and Critique. We invite you to engage with this digital resource, and hope it inspires you to develop your own vision of a democratic city.
